Equipment All IKK members are expected to wear a kendo uniform or work out clothes to practice. Each student is responsible for purchasing a shinai (flexible bamboo sword, approx $25 each). Additional equipment to consider is the bokutoh (wooden sword), a bag to transport your swords to class, and bogu (protective armor). The club has a limited number of bogu sets to loan to students.	---	Federation Dues 2008 All US Kendo Federation Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation Here is the current annual Federation fee structure. Idaho Kendo Kai members are required to join the PNKF and AUSKF. Membership provides insurance coverage, allows participation in seminar and taikai, and supports our organizations efforts to promote kendo in the Pacific Northwest and in the United States.
